Health and Safety Risk Assessment (RA)
3
Health and Safety RAs are developed for all incident type TOG and other specific subject matters to identify the associated generic hazards (i.e. things with the potential to cause harm) and possible control measures (i.e. ways of reducing the likelihood of the hazard causing harm). They are the first step in creating the range of TOG, SOPs and some AHIS. The template and methodology has been agreed by the participating services, however, as part of the implementation process, services should validate the associated risk assessment for their own use. The method of achieving this will be for the individual service to determine, but for the majority a review and adoption of the RA as set out in the Model Implementation Process would suffice.
