Procedures: The teacher starts with physical activities to explain action verbs. Explain that the present tense is used when the action is done today or at the present moment. If the action was done yesterday or in the past, they have to use past tense. The teacher starts introducing the key words that are used in past tense sentences. Refer to the sentence constructed on the board and add 'ed' to the verb 'jump', and add in 'yesterday' to the sentence.(with activities) Introduce a song that will help students to know that there are irregular verbs which don't follow the 'Adding ed' rule. Explain that there are special words that change their spelling when they become past tense. Show a few examples: run-ran, see-saw, come- came, go-went.. Ask students to choose correct past tense verbs written on the white board when giving them a present simple tense verb for example, jump, jumped and run, ran. Divide students into groups to answer the worksheets. Conclusion: Homework sheet to answer.
