6. Parkside Players Musical Production! Want to be a star on stage? Tryout for the Parkside Players musical production! Want to know what happens in an audition? Come to one of the audition clinics being offered after school next week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday to find out. Parkside Player veterans will help you with all you need to know and do for an audition. Take the mystery out of auditioning and learn how to show off your talent.

8. Multi-Cultural Announcement! Diwali is the most popular celebration in India just like Christmas in the US. It is known as the festival of lights. People exchange greetings and traditional sweets. They forget their differences and wish each other well. It unites people from all the different cultures in India. Homes are decorated with lights and flowers. Diwali symbolizes good over evil.

9. Sherwood Forrest Fundraiser You have already received the materials in your advisory class. Please bring this information home to your parents. There are individual incentives and the top 3 advisory classes in participation will receive Tropical Smoothies during class next month. Who wants to be that class?

10. School Spirit! Which grade level has the most school spirit?! FRIDAY is our FIRST official school spirit day. Wear your PKMS shirts or a solid Blue shirt to represent your school spirit or pink it out for breast cancer awareness! The grade level with the most participation will earn points towards an end of the year prize! Teachers - your participation helps your grade level too! – Student’s if you wore your school spirit today that still counts!

12. Step team try-outs are : Friday, Oct. 24 from 3- 4:15 You must have a physical and concussion training on file with Mrs. Harigan in order to try-out. ​Your ride must be here on time or you will be put on an activity bus.

13. NJHS Students Running for Office NJHS students running for office need to send Ms. Mattia an email with your speech, and office you'd like to run for by October 24. The next meeting is November 6 when officers will be elected.

14. Breast Cancer Awareness Month Show your support by doing the following: Make a $1 donation * and get a pink bracelet! (Donations taken during lunches.) PINK OUT Friday’s for the month of October. Wear pink shirts, socks, shoes, etc...to show your support! *All money raised will be donated to a local cancer center
