4  To familiarise students with English vocabulary relevant to their postgraduate studies in Public and Business Administration;  To raise students’ confidence in understanding and making oral use of English words and phrases associated with Public and Business Administration;  To improve students’ English skills (especially in speaking and listening).

5  Class handouts;  Whiteboard / projector displays;  PowerPoint slides  Audio recordings;  Word definition guides;  Simple vocabulary and comprehension exercises;

6  Brief multiple-choice comprehension exercises during and at the end of classes;  Test / evaluation exercises conducted by the instructor;  Oral practice (individual and group-based);  Role play exercises;  Mini-presentations;  Formal presentations.

8 The AEC (EPBA) will be co-ordinated by Mr Andrew Elliott, from SIU’s School of Liberal Arts. Mr Andrew holds degrees in Modern History and Linguistics / Education. He has worked in various educational fields in Thailand since 1999 and has experience of co-ordinating educational projects with a range of parties which include over 40 universities, the Ministry of Education, the Office of the Higher Education Commission, the Office for National Education Standards and Quality Assessment, the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, the International Schools’ Association of Thailand and the Royal Thai Police.
