Genetic Drift – group of random changes in gene pool

An example of microevolution is bacteria becoming resistant to antibiotics.
Salmonella typhimurium invading cultured human cells.

Panda’s thumb more like bone than digit
Animal’s are never perfectly suited for environment
The panda thumb proves this
It isn’t a digit-extra bone

Macro Evolution
Focus on changes at or above species level
Basically is the larger evolutionary changes
The white moth is the original species, and the black moth micro evolved to better survive in a different environment.

The white peppered moth began to macro evolve during the British Industrial Revolution
To deal with rising pollution
The black peppered moth was the offshoot species from the Peppered Moth to do deal with pollution

All life struggles to survive and reproduce
Struggle for survival weeds out weaker specimens
Evolution takes so long, unobservable in a lifetime
Based on random genetic mutations
