5. El Greco, Cont. El Greco was born in Crete and worked in Italy before moving to Spain in about 1577. 13. Pablo Picasso 1881-1973 A painter and sculptor Along with Georges Braque, founded the style of painting known as Cubism. Went through several styles of painting include the Blue Period, the Rose Period, and the Cubist Period.
