Isaiah: Big Picture God’s plans matter Men’s plans will not change anything He chooses.

Isaiah chapter 7 The enemies of Judah got together to attack Jerusalem (v1-6). God had other plans (v7-9). Ahaz refused a sign from God (v10-13). God’s sign is the virgin birth (v14-15). Before that God will bring enemies on Jerusalem’s enemies (v16-17). The Assyrians would devour and devastate (v18-25).

Isaiah 7:10-14 God offered Ahaz a sign. Ahaz refused. How stubborn can men be? God is still sovereign. God’s plan is outstanding. Born of a virgin Immanuel – God with us.
