Updated: Classification: D3 Michelin Tires for Embraer 170 /190 Family Michelin nose and main tires are fully approved by Embraer on the 190 and 195 family of aircraft. Tires are undergoing approval at Embraer for the 170 and 175 family; − −formal approval is expected to be received 2Q 2010. The main tires employ NZG technology for: − −Superior LPT performance thus reducing operational costs. − −Lower tire weight leading to operational fuel savings. − −More robust design which provides increased FOD resistance. Main tires are designed to be retreadable − −(From 2Q 2009 for ERJ190 - Kansas City)
