1 A step by step guide

2 Using the following data we will show how to draw a line graph. Time (s)0102030405060 Temperature ( o C)-10-5010121523 It is normal to place the variable quantity, in this case the temperature, on the y-axis. Notice that the temperature ranges from -10 o C to 23 o C, this means that we will have to draw the y-axis to include negative values

3 Time (s) Temperature ( o C) 1020304050 60 Time (s)0102030405060 Temperature ( o C)-10-5010121523 As we have seen previously, we first need to draw vertical and horizontal axes, and insert the scales, in this case there are negative quantities, we therefore need to extend the y-axis below the line of the x-axis Next we add the x and y axes labels The first co-ordinate is at zero seconds and the temperature is -10 o C (0,-10), let’s mark it with a cross. The second co-ordinate is 10,-5, again we will mark it with a cross. Now repeat for all the other data, and draw a line to connect the points Lastly, add a title Temperature/Time Graph 5 10 15 20 25 -5 -10 0 Now you try an example

4 Draw a line graph of the following data showing how much weight a person lost on a diet Month 12345678910 Weight loss (kg) 21.70.751.2.5.812.21.80.2
