2. Warm-up  Create a list of everything you know how to do in PowerPoint.

3. Keyboarding  At this point we are trying to build speed and accuracy. To that end, you will be given keyboarding time each day during which you may type a paper for another class, use a keyboarding website, …. The one rule is that you may not play games unless it is Friday.

4. Show What you Know  You will be given 20 minutes to complete the Skill Review which will cover basic power point skills, many of which you already know or can infer with your background knowledge of Word.  Submit completed presentations to SkyDrive.

5. PowerPoint Terminology  Ribbon:  Tab  Groups  Outline Tab: Displays text of presentation in the form of an outline without showing graphics or other visual objects.  Slides Tab: Displays slides as thumbnails  Thumbnails = Small Pictures  Slide Pane: Displays the slide currently being edited.

6. PowerPoint Terminology  Notes Pane: Used to type reference text that accompanies the slide  Additional information, directions…  Will not be shown in presentation mode, but may be printed out with the presentation.  Smart Art: professional quality diagrams that are quickly inserted and modified on a slide in order to illustrate text.  Time line, process,…
