* Definition of Acceptable Use * Guidelines * Expectations * Consequences

* Computers in City Hall are to be used to conduct City Hall business. Work not related to City Hall may not be conducted on a city owned resource. Computer based recreation – surfing the internet, visiting chat rooms and recreational email is prohibited.

* Professional communication must be practiced – all emails must be professional * Confidential information must be protected * Attachments must be screened before sending out or opening * Commercial shopping and betting websites may not be visited using a City Hall computer

* Employees are expected to meet standards of professional conduct as outlined in the Employee Handbook * Internet usage is encouraged, but must be limited to work related usage

* Verbal warning * Written warning and meeting with Human Resources * Written warning, meeting with Human Resources and suspension * Termination
