Low Self-Esteem Of person being bullied Student that have been bullied in the past tend to have a low self-esteem. They feel like they are trapped by the person who is bullying them. A person who bullies usually has emotional problems or a bad living situation.

Depression In people who are being bullied A common misconception about bullying is that this phenomenon does not result in negative long-term consequences. In reality, children and adolescents who are involved in bullying face a host of psychological difficulties. Depression is one of the most common difficulties that can be traced to bullying. Depression is an illness that is not totally understood, and may have a variety of causes, but it is clear that it can have a relationship to bullying. This connection can be long-lasting; people who are bullied as children are more likely to suffer from depression as an adult than children not involved in bullying. Suicide In students being bullied There are points where a person who is being bullied or depressed contemplates suicide. On a more emotional side they feel as though they are dead in the inside. In students that are bullying Since people who bully or are bullying also have emotional difficulties they are also at risk of being suicidal. What can we do? In our school there is a zero tolerance for bullying. Implement programs that address not just bullying but the social and emotional needs of our students. We forget that our older students need the social and emotional component in their grades. We tend to just focus on the social and emotional needs of our little ones and forget that our older ones have difficulty coping or developing coping skills for what they are going through. Implement a program that involves k-8 and get the parents involved by creating workshops for parents. Send letters home about the programs Deal with social and emotional aspect Beyond bullying program (k-8). They want to pilot it in our school. Talk to principal about getting on board with this We can also listen to student arguments or issues and try to incorporate safety lessons on bullying in our schools and classes. Conclusion Kids who bully do so because of emotional issues in there life. Kids who bully do so because of emotional issues in there life.
