Each workplace building must have at least two means of escape remote from one another. Fire doors must not be blocked or locked when employees are in the building. Exit routes from building must be clear and free of obstructions and properly marked with exit signs.

Each workplace building must have the proper type and number of fire extinguishers for the fire hazard. Fire extinguishers have to be inspected at least annually. A written emergency action plan.

A review of the written plan. Proper housekeeping practices. Controlling ignition sources. Know the fire hazards associated with your work area.
