1 History of animation

2 Cel Animation Cel is short for celluloid, it is a see true sheet that you that you draw on or print animations on. cel animations were used during the first half of the 20th century but since it was flammable and unsafe it was replaced by cellulose acetate. In 1990 Disney stopped using cels they were also the first company to hire female workers. Generally the characters are drawn on cels and laid on static background.

3 Flipbook animation A flipbook animation is created when you get a load of drawings and put them on different pages, then you flip true them and it crates an animation this is an example of a basic animation. Flip books are often created for children but they can also be created for adults but instead you use photographs instead of drawings. Some of the place's you can find animations are at the corners of packages and websites you can also make videos in to flip book animations.

4 Animated cartoon Am animated cartoon is made of loads of drawings. That are used to make TV programs and films .they are usually made to entertain children for examples Disney has made lots of different cartoon films monsters ink, toy story, frozen, cars, planes. Animated cartoon are also big on TV witch such as mickey mouse, Donald duck, tom & jerry these are all amazing TV programs I also use to watch them as a child.

5 Types of files FORMATS There are many different types of file formats such as GIF, TIF, PNG, RAW and JPG they all can be used to support different types of files.

6 3D animation There are many different types of 3D animation such as games, movies, TV shows, cartoons etc. The purpose of 3D animation is to entertain people with what cant be done in real life so they use 3D animation in special effects and other things to make films more interesting with explosions and 3D animated characters to make it more interesting .

7 Phenakitstoscope A Phenakitstoscope was an example of early animation. It would used consisted of simple drawings. This was time consuming and hundreds of drawing were used per minute to make them. Cell Animation was development 1915 and it made this method of animation relevant.
