FOURTH QUARTER: November 1, 2008 2. The Lost Ram Then Abraham saw "a ram caught in a thicket," and quickly bringing the new victim, he offered it "in the stead of his son." FOURTH QUARTER: November 1, 2008 The ram offered in the place of Isaac represented the Son of God, who was to be sacrificed in our stead.. the ram which God had provided was offered in the place of Isaac--then light was shed upon the mystery of redemption, and even the angels understood more clearly the wonderful provision that God had made for man's salvation. 1 Peter 1:12. So Moses returned to the Lord and said, “Alas, this people has committed a very serious sin, and they have made for themselves gods of gold. But now, if you will forgive their sin…, but if not, wipe me out from your book that you have written.” Exodus 32:31-32

FOURTH QUARTER: November 1, 2008 b. The power of expiation is effective only to the sinner who experienced confession and contrition. This experience can only be achieved by “looking at the Cross” when we, the sinner sees the “distortions of sin” in our lives.

FOURTH QUARTER: November 1, 2008 c. Two things this incredible prophecy shows: 1. God is in absolute control in every aspect of His work of salvation. 2. He makes sure that it accomplishes its eternally intended purpose.

FOURTH QUARTER: November 1, 2008 Conclusion: 1.For what purpose was the atonement announced? Answer: Now this is eternal life – that they know you, the only true God, and Jesus Christ, whom you sent. John 17:3 Net Bible ed.

FOURTH QUARTER: November 1, 2008 2. Remember Christ’s sufferings. Let us remember that “Christ’s sufferings were endured, not for Himself, but all for Adam’s seed– for us. His sufferings are our peace, our healing, our redemption. When we look at our selves we look at life’s problems. When we are looking at Jesus, we see life’s solution.” Angel Manuel Rodriguez
