1 Cardiac Imaging In vivo rodent cardiac images obtained at many different periods in the cardiac cycle. The movie on the left is that of a beating heart collected in the long-axis orientation. The movie on the right is that of a beating heart collected in the short-axis orientation. ECG triggered GEFC (Gradient Echo Flow Compensated) imaging was employed.

2 Cerebral Angiography In vivo rat cerebral angiography demonstrates our ability to investigate both normal and abnormal vascular architecture. Three dimensional GE (gradient echo) imaging employing TOF (time of flight) blood contrast was employed for this study.

3 Blood Flow Characterization This study employs a phantom of an aortic aneurism. Left Image: A coronal view of the phantom, the aortic arch and aneurism are easily seen. Right Image: A flow rate at the systolic peak of the cardiac cycle taken from the area just prior to the aneurism, see arrow.
