By Grace 1 Peter 5: 10-11 “And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.”
2
Whatever we go through has purpose and is not a waste (God does allow uncomfortable things in our lives to grow us and to have our wings spread so we can fulfill his purpose)
3
Isaiah 40:31 “…but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles: they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.”
4
Exodus 2:11-15 “ One day after Moses had grown up, he went out to where his own people were and watched them at their hard labor. He saw an Egyptian beating a Hebrew, one of his own people. Glancing this way and that and seeing no one, he killed the Egyptian and hid him in the sand.
5
Continued…. The next day he went out and saw two Hebrews fighting. He asked the one in the wrong, “Why are you hitting your fellow Hebrew?” The man said, “Who made you the ruler and judge over us? Are you thinking of killing me as you killed the Egyptian? Then Moses was afraid and thought, “What I did must have been known.”
6
Continued… When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses but Moses fled from the Pharaoh and went to live in Midian where he sat down by the well.
7
His life was complicated/misfit: but for the grace and the methodology /plan of God.
8
For 40 years he tended Jethro’s sheep until God stopped him in a burning bush and changed his life. His life in the wilderness prepared him for the work of leading the children of Israel in the wilderness.
9
Exodus 3: 1-5 Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian and he led the flock to the far side of the desert and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames from within a bush. Moses saw the bush was on fire it did not burn up. So Moses thought, “I will go over and see this strange sight – why the bush does not burn up.
10
Continued…. When the Lord saw that he had gone over to look, God called to him from within the bush. “Moses! Moses!” Moses said “Here I am.” “Do not come any closer,” God said. “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy ground.”
11
Romans 8:28 “And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him who have been called according to his purpose”. God is involved with our lives 24/7 though sometimes it does not feel like it
12
Nothing in your life is a waste. We open ourselves and allow God by His grace to lead us in His path.
13
Jeremiah 29:11 “ For I know the plans I have for you”, declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.”
