In North America alone, we have approximately 800 highly trained sales specialists who can specify high performance enterprise cabling and security solutions for you. Additionally, in any market across the world, we can recommend quality installers or systems integrators for your projects too. Anixter constantly keeps pace with changes in the enterprise cabling and security markets and stays at the forefront of emerging technologies for our customers. Our knowledge of market trends driving these emerging technologies allow our customers to make well informed decisions on the latest technology developments like copper-based 10 Gigabit Ethernet, Wireless and Video-over-IP (VoIP) products and solutions. Next, we’ll touch on a few product sets listed here: Our Network Cabling Solutions include copper and fiber optic LAN cabling and connectivity that are used to run enterprise networks. We also provide all of the ancillary products for your network infrastructure (like racks and cabinets, cable management, and UPSs) and installation products (like cable ties, labeling equipment, tools and test equipment). Our Wireless & Networking products include wireless solutions for those customers that have hard to get to places to wire or those that are looking for mobile, flexible solutions. Our networking products include the electronics like switches and routers used to manage data networks, media adapters and PoE devices. Our Voice Accessories are all related to voice products——telephones, head sets, etc. Our Access Control products like cards and readers monitor who is coming and going from offices, schools, secured areas, etc. We carry Video Surveillance products like DVRs and video surveillance cameras for security applications, and we carry both the legacy analog products as well as the emerging IP camera and IP storage solutions. We’re also the largest distributor of Low Voltage Cabling. Coax, a low voltage cable, is used in legacy analog surveillance environments. With an almost infinite number of conductor sizes, stranding, insulation, jackets, and conductors, wire and cable choices can be overwhelming. Anixter can help you select the optimum product for your unique application. We have the largest inventory of these products in North America, the primary relationship with the major worldwide manufacturers, and an uncompromising service attitude which makes Anixter the answer for your electrical and electronic wire and cable requirements. Listed here are some of the cable Anixter’s Electrical and Electronic division can provide you with: Power Cable: These cable power, or provide electricity to homes and office buildings —anywhere you see an electrical outlet, there is power cable behind it. Portable Cable: These cables are primarily used in the mining industry and provide the flexibility of being “portable” or moved around a remote place or building. Hook-Up/Lead Wire: These cables are used by Wire Harness Manufacturers and OEMs to connect components together when manufacturing a product. For example, a cell phone manufacturer uses hook-up/lead wire to connect the antenna to the PC board during the manufacturing process. Audio/Video: Audio cables are primarily used in the broadcast or commercial A/V market. Radio and TV stations use them to transmit audio. Video cables are used for security purposes as well.

Sourcing – Anixter has product and technical expertise to help during this step of the process to support the breadth of OEM supplier relationships needed for the overall solution. This includes e-Procurement, product selection and specification and manufacturer selection Logistics – Effectively manage inbound logistics from the different manufacturers to our warehouse and direct delivery to the job site to make sure the product is available when and where you need it. Our logistics services include in-bound lead time management, Integration with carriers tracking systems, manage carriers Inventory Management – Anixter’s ability to manage piece part detail and inventory in a single platform is the basis of our distribution infrastructure. We manage $725 million inventory, consigned inventory, customer-owned inventory. Our Rapid FireSM inventory management system is convenient for customers. We also offer serial number tracking and visibility by part number. Product Enhancement and Packaging – Here’s the question: what can we do at the warehouse (prior to shipment) that can make material management at the job site easier and more cost effective? Services such as kitting, pre-assembly, color-coded, bar-coded and customized labels, Packaging services including lagging, palletizing, crating, shrink wrapping and electrostatic packaging, cutting, stripping and tinning, custom tube/cable/jacket printing performed according to your specifications, SpeedPull® — the bundling of multiple conductors and flexible cable to dramatically reduce setup time and labor associated with cable pulls. Deployment – A dedicated team of program management experts and implementation specialists oversees the supply chain and assesses the deployment schedule to build and manage the model to meet the program’s demands: coordination with program management and implementation specialists, single-site and multi-site deployments, coordinate “Last Mile” delivery services — cranes, lift gates and other delivery constraints like restricted delivery hours. eBusiness – We provide you with a unique view of key events in the supply chain model.
