Personal Information Jean Eugène Auguste Atget was born on the 12th of February 1857, in France. He was sick so he left drama to become a photographer. He was a professional photographer. He died on the 4th August 1927 in Paris.

Type of camera His type of camera was a view camera 18x24. This camera was not pratical because it wasn't easily transportable and it took a long time to take a picture.

Colors of the pictures Jean Eugène August Atget took pictures in black and white because in his period,there weren't colors.

Themes of his pictures He decided to take pictures of the Paris that was going to desappear due to all the urban transformations and the development of department stores.

Brassaï was a photographer, designer, writer, sculptor and painter. His real name was Gyula Halàsz.He was French but of Hungrian origin He took picture in black and white of place, of people, nature. He was born in 1899, on September the 9th, at Brasov. He died in 1984, on the 8 of July in Nice. During his life, he lived in Paris.

He began to photograph in 1930. In 1932, his first pictures are 62 pictures of Paris by night. He took picture in black and white of places, people and nature.

He said: « I like the pictures where the topic is simple and I like natural pictures, I always remove the formal composition from all my pictures ».
