*Pop art is an art movement that emerged in the mid 1950s in Britain and in the late 1950s in the United States. SHORT FOR POPULAR ART.Artists create colorful images of social figures, ideas, products of the time *use of the mass-produced visual commodities of popular culture * isolates the object, or combines it with other objects *The concept of pop art refers not as much to the art itself as to the attitudes that led to it.

Pop art sometimes includes kitschy elements of any given culture, most often through the use of irony Kitsch-deliberate use of elements that may be though of as cultural icons while making cheap mass-produced objects that are unoriginal
