LENGTH = 4.5 to 6.5 feet from nose to tail WEIGHT = lbs. LIFESPAN = 7-8 years DIET= Wolves eat large hoofed animals like elk. Wolves also are scavengers and eat small prey. POPULATION= There are about 9000 wolves left in Alaska and more than 5000 in the other 48 states. RANGE= Wolves live in Alaska, Michigan, Minnesota, Montana, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
