An Issue of Dysregulation Copyright, Robert Jason Grant Ed.D The left and right hemispheres are not “talking” to each other The connective tissue (corpus callosum) serves as a conduit or the bridge between the left and right hemisphere. Studies indicate that this bridge can be strengthened in order to transmit information between the left and right hemisphere.

Whole Brain Thinking Copyright, Robert Jason Grant Ed.D Whole brain thinking means using the left and right side of the brain to function as a whole. When we use both sides of our brain instead of just the left or right, we are able to apply both logical thinking and creative thinking to the same problem. There are numerous benefits to using the whole brain to solve problems and think. Benefits of whole brain thinking can include higher levels of thinking, increased creativity, better understanding of emotions, and the ability to utilize all processes of thought.

Play based activities are designed to simultaneously activate and strengthened the right and left hemispheres. Counselor processes activities with child’s real life issues/situations.
