Linking Verbs Am, are, is, was, were Appear, become, feel, look, grow, seem, smell, taste, may be, will be, have been (Complete list on page 99 in your textbook)

Linking Verbs Replace verb with is, are, or am to see if it makes sense. If it does, then it is a linking verb. He feels tired. Mark appears sad.

Linking Verbs 1. That soup tastes really good. 2. She is very upset. 3. Sarah has been a good friend. 4. Jack grew up. 5. He became an honor student. 6. Molly turned around in her seat.
