2 What is mythology? Myth: (noun) A traditional story, especially one concerning the early history of a people or explaining some natural or social phenomenon, and typically involving supernatural beings or events. Denotation: A type of story that explains a phenomenon. Connotation: Myths are usually false. THIS IS NOT THE DEFINITION THAT WE ARE USING TO DISCUSS MYTHOLOGY.

Do not use 2 nd person (“you”) in this paragraph because your response should have a formal academic tone. Your response paragraph is worth 25 points. PROMPT: What is the purpose of the myth of Prometheus and Pandora? Be specific with your response and defend your claims with direct quotes from the text.
