SPIRITUAL WEAPONS: PRAISE
2
When you read about praise in the Bible usually you will also read about the Awesomeness of God.
3
Exodus 15:10-11 “But you blew with your breath, and the sea covered them. They sank like lead in the mighty waters.
4
‘Who among the gods is like you, O LORD
‘Who among the gods is like you, O LORD? Who is like you--majestic in holiness, awesome in glory, working wonders?’”
5
When we learn how awesome our God is the first natural response is fear.
6
Deuteronomy 10:12: “And now, O Israel, what does the LORD your God ask of you but to fear the LORD your God,
7
to walk in all his ways, to love him, to serve the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul!”
8
When we learn how awesome our God is the second natural response is to praise Him.
9
Praise is the act of making positive statements about a person, object or idea either in private or public.
10
In praise we speak out WHO God is
WHAT He has done WHAT He is GOING to do.
11
Psalm 103:1-5- “Praise the LORD, O my soul; all my inmost being, praise his holy name. Praise the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits
12
who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases
13
who redeems your life from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion
14
who satisfies your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed like the eagle's.”
15
Our individual praise times and our joint praise times are opportunities for us to praise God and send the enemy fleeing.
16
Revelation 12:10- “Then I heard a loud voice in heaven say: "Now have come the salvation and the
17
kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ.
power and the kingdom of our God, and the authority of his Christ.
18
For the accuser of our brothers, who accuses them before our God day and night, has been hurled down.”
19
God has given us a means to silence satan-praise.
20
As with prayer you have to combine praise with the Bible.
21
Psalm 149:6 – “May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands,”
