Releasing The Power of PRAISE (Part 2)

Text: Psalm 67: 3-7

Introduction  Praise is of prime importance to the believer, because it is the cheapest access to God Almighty.  The surest access to the realm of the miraculous.  The greatest obstacle in life will become a miracle under praise.

Introduction  Isaiah 43:21 declare that you and I were made for His praise.  Faith draws on God’s faithfulness, but praise on His person.  Praising God, like every other Biblical principle is designed to profit those who comply with it.

Therefore, praise is a divine secret for all-round profiting in the kingdom of God.

Benefits of Praise

1.God’s presence guaranteed  Psalm 22:3  God’s presence is our greatest asset as believers, and praise is the price you pay to get it.  Psalm 100:4  No opposition can withstand God’s presence.

2.God Takes Over Your Battle  2 Chronicles 20:21-23.  Whatever can’t stand God can’t stand praise!  Whenever you are confronted with something that appears stronger than you, praise Him!  A very effective tool; a weapon of vengeance (Psa. 149:6-9).

3.Pride is Destroyed  Pride is a trap of the enemy; it is a destiny destroyer. Most unusual liftings lead to pride; but a personal lifestyle of praise is able to destroy this poison of pride.  Daniel 4:30-37.  Every good thing you have ever seen in your life is not by merit, but by His grace.  When glory shifts from God to self, destruction is on the way (Isaiah 42:8; Acts 12:21-23).

4.Preserved Blessing  Malachi 2:2.  Praise is the secret for preserving our blessings.  The covenant instrument for the preservation of blessings is praise – Psalm 50:23.  Every time you acknowledge Him for a blessing, you commit Him to preserve that blessing.

5.It Provokes Harvest  Psalm 67:5-7.  Praise provokes the release of your harvest.  When you engage in heart-felt praise as a lifestyle, God’s blessings upon your life becomes inexhaustible.  No praise, no fruitfulness – Leviticus 25:13.  The quality of your life is determined by the quality of your praise!

Without God you can do nothing and without praise, He is not permitted to show up, for He dwells in the midst of praises.

Enemies of Praise ① Sorrow (brokenness of heart). Two basic causes are: hopelessness and following after other gods – Prov. 17:22; Eccl. 9:4; Isa. 51:11; 1 Tim. 6:10-11. ② Offence. A negative reaction to unpleasant conditions. Patience is the answer to offences – Luke 8:15; Matt. 11:3-6; Job 9:4. ③ Covetousness. The worth of a man is not in what he possesses. Contentment is the antidote – 1 Tim. 6:6-8; Luke 12:15.

Enemies of Praise ④ The Past. The habit of looking back at past failures is an enemy of praise. You can’t live a life of praise until you let go of the negative past – Isa. 43:18-19; Philip. 3:13-14; Gen. 19:26. ⑤ The Spirit of Heaviness or Depression. Joy is your birthright and you maintain it by letting God’s Word dwell richly in your heart, till there is no room for the devil – Isa. 63:1, 3; Neh. 8:10.
