2. Facts about Japan! The capital city of Japan is Tokyo. The population of Japan is 127,368,088. The Prime Minster of Japan is Shinzo Abe. He was elected in December 2012. Japan is located in the North Pacific.

3. Popular Food! The most popular foods in Japan are rice, sugar beets, vegetables, fruit, pork and fish. People drink a lot of coffee to keep them a wake. In the picture there is a popular dish.

4. The Flag! The flag of Japan is red and white. It has a white background and red circle in the middle. The red circle represents the sun and the white represents peace. It is known as the land of the rising sun.

5. Facts 2 The tallest mountain in Japan is Mount Fuji. The national sport is sumo wrestling but baseball is also very popular. The official language is Japanese but English is also very popular. Are we there yet??

6. Types of Writing In Japan there are four different types of writing. They are called Romaji, Katakana, Hiragana and Kanji.

7. Disneyland Disneyland is located in Tokyo. It was opened on April 15 th 1983. You can meet all the Disney figures. I'm Mickey Mouse

8. Tokyo Tower! The Tokyo tower is the tallest self supporting steel tower in the world. It is 333 metres high. It took a year to build. It was opened on December 23 rd 1958.

9. Cars! The Toyota car is made in Japan. The first car was sold on August 28 th 1937. Nissan is also made in Japan.

10. Kinkakiu-ji. Kinkakiu-ji is a temple. It is located in Kyoto. It was opened in the year 1955. The official name of the temple is Rokuon-ji.

11. The Atomic Bomb! In world war two the atomic bomb had not been invented. Scientists discovered that it could blow up a city. Two bombs were set off in Japan and two cities were blown up. This caused Japan to surrender in the seconed world war.

12. Landmarks! Kinkakiu-ji. Mount Fuji. Tokyo tower. Disneyland. Nijo Castle.

13. Nijo Castle Nijo Castle is located in Kyoto. It is a flatland castle. It was opened in 1629. It took 25 years to build.

14. The Earthquake! In 1995 there was a big earthquake. Afterword's engineers built a church out of paper. It was only meant to be there for a while but it is now still standing in a different town.
