3. Day 3: dry land Genesis 1:9-10 God gathered waters and made dry ground
Psalm 95:5
9Then God said, "Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear"; and it was so. 10And God called the dry land Earth, and the gathering together of the waters He called Seas. And God saw that it was good.
Bring bucket of water – it’s heavy! Nothing is too hard for God
5The sea is His, for He made it;        And His hands formed the dry land.

4. Day 3: Flora Genesis 1:11-13 God made all the plants and trees
Only God has the knowledge to make plant life
God made plants with seeds to reproduce
Plants we have today came from those created in the beginning
Why did God make flowers, trees, and plants?
For our needs
Oxygen
Wood
Food
Etc.
To show us His love
Variety of colors, sizes, shapes, smells, tastes
Earth is not just liveable, it’s beautiful
To show us He is the master designer
11Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth grass, the herb that yields seed, and the fruit tree that yields fruit according to its kind, whose seed is in itself, on the earth"; and it was so. 12And the earth brought forth grass, the herb that yields seed according to its kind, and the tree that yields fruit, whose seed is in itself according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 13So the evening and the morning were the third day.

5. All that God created was good
Designed the earth to be liveable and beautiful
Plants come from seeds
Have all living information necessary to make the grown plant
There is a master designer
Every created thing was designed by God
All that God created on this day was good
No thorns or weeds
No poisonous fruit
No diseases or spoiled fruit
Bring microscope and seeds to look at in detail
Demonstrate design by tossing seeds in pan to see if they make a pattern. Do it again to demonstrate that patterns happen only by intelligent design

6. Day 4: Sun, moon, and stars
Same God who made the tiny seed made the vast universe
Measured in “light years”

Light from sun, stars
Light from sun takes 80 minutes to reach earth
Light from stars takes several years
Many stars beyond what we can see

Solar system shows His handiwork

He made the stars also. 17God set them in the firmament of the heavens to give light on the earth, 18and to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness. 8. Day 5: Sea life & birds Genesis 1:20-23
Beauty suddenly filled water & skies!
God created a great variety of life
Man continues to discover new life
Why such variety & beauty?
To show His love
Show His power & understanding
Man does not have this power or understanding
    20Then God said, "Let the waters abound with an abundance of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth across the face of the firmament of the heavens." 21So God created great sea creatures and every living thing that moves, with which the waters abounded, according to their kind, and every winged bird according to its kind. And God saw that it was good. 22And God blessed them, saying, "Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth." 23So the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

9. Day 6: animals Genesis 1:24-25
God created many different kinds of animals

Man can only “copy” (clone) animals
All that God made was good
God is perfect
24Then God said, "Let the earth bring forth the living creature according to its kind: cattle and creeping thing and beast of the earth, each according to its kind"; and it was so. 25And God made the beast of the earth according to its kind, cattle according to its kind, and everything that creeps on the earth according to its kind. And God saw that it was good.
