3 Punctuations - Overview Why use punctuations? Different kinds of punctuations: –Comma, –Period. –Semi-colon ; –Colon : –Apostrophe ‘ –Dash -

4 Punctuations - Comma (1) In a series of adjectives an old, grey, dusty hat He was wearing an old, grey, dusty hat.

5 Punctuations - Comma (2) In a series of nouns (or ideas) an apple, a banana, and three peaches My brother has ambition, charm, wealth, and an amazing personality. Sak’s, Lord and Taylors and Bloomingdales

6 Punctuations - Comma (3) With long introductory phrases Whenever I try to talk to her, she leaves the room.
