Data Governance objectives
The “Final Goal” is for EMM to have credible data sources to enable the delivery of management and regulatory information in a timely manner. These include the following: A “single view” of the customer Have one golden record for each customer with a composite set of information for each account the customer has with EMM. Enable the capability to associate “other” forms of information such as building plans or scanned document to a specific customer. Improve customer data quality Define master data source and slave targets – clearly define data flows. Define a set of data and business rules for each data element and apply them to all CCA’s. Improve EMM efficiency levels for data collection Simplify business processes and reduce duplication of data. Establish a standard set of business processes to be implemented across all CCA’s in a uniform manner. Increase EMM’s ability to collect revenue Have a consolidated view of customer accounts
