Physical Change A change in which matter looks different but is still the same matter A change that affects the size, shape or color of a substance but does not affect its composition

Chemical Change A change that results in the formation of a new substance A change that is permanent in nature A change in materials that produces a new substance; the change is permanent

What’s the Difference? With a physical change, the item can be change back to its original form With a chemical change, the item cannot be changed back to its original form
