5. Matter  matter is anything that has mass and occupies space

6. States of Matter  Matter can be found in three states: liquid, solid, or gas

7. Liquid  flowing freely but of constant volume (amount of it doesn’t change) such as oil or drinking water

8. Gas  expands freely to fill any space available (air, steam, fog)

9. Solid  Firm and stable in shape; not liquid or fluid. Some examples would be ice or rocks

10. Physical Change  physical change is when matter changes from one state to another or is changed in shape or temperature
