Advantages- You only present information once with multiple information sources. Students can use different note taking strategies Students are able to present information Limitations- Potentially boring, especially for students with difficulty learning that way Must be age appropriate for time Difficulty in note taking

Advantages- Safety More cost effective Getting task guidance while seeing what your going to do before hand Limitations- Lacking hands on Students may have a hard time keeping up with the pace or seeing the presentation

Advantages- Teachers are able to give feedback on responses Information is in small chunks that allow for practice before the next “chunk of information” Limitations- Some students do not learn their errors and how to correct them with drill & practice Boring with too much information and repetitiveness

Advantages- Students are able to pace themselves while working independently Tailored to each student Limitations- Can be potentially boring and frustrating when there is no variation Students can fall behind because of a lack of teacher guidance

Advantages- Allows kids to “argue” their point New, interesting ideas because all kids are involved Limitations- Difficult with a wide range of learning styles Can be unchallenging with a lack of involvement

Advantages- Interactive Multiple learning opportunities Content can be addressed through multiple capability levels Limitations- Ineffective with oversized groups Need to mix capability levels

Advantages- Competitive Motivating You can engage students through a variety of learning situations Limitations- Competitiveness (Needs to be handled if there is too much) Not cost effective Limited of difficulty level

Advantages- Real-life situations or a blast into the past! Hands on activities that all multiple capability levels to be involved Limitations- Limited time frame Too difficult for some ages

Advantages- Repetition Engaging students through their control of learning Limitations- Need to build on prior knowledge Preparing and the demonstration can be very time consuming Some students may have a difficulty understanding
