To address ongoing biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation that ultimately impact on human well-being To assist decision makers to recognize the value of ecosystem services in order to make more informed land-use decisions To improve policy coherence in relation to natural resource management. ©TEEB

TEEB Training Learning Outcomes Understand the key terms and concepts around biodiversity, ecosystems, and ecosystem services Define ecosystem services and describe a range of examples Describe the extent of recent biodiversity loss, and explain how the undervaluation of biodiversity and ecosystem services contributes to this loss Describe how the loss of biodiversity impacts human well-being and economic development Identify the direct and indirect drivers of biodiversity loss and ecosystem degradation and how these may be addressed Capture the basic concepts of the TEEB approach and how it may be applied to real life policy contexts ©TEEB
