Bell Ringer What is an AR Verb?
An AR Verb is a Spanish verb that ends in AR. You must conjugate these. You will see how to do that later in the presentation.

What we will Learn We will learn the AR verb endings.
We will learn how to conjugate. We will learn why you conjugate AR verbs. We will learn some facts about Spanish verbs and AR verbs that can be applied to other fields.

Conjugation Steps and Why
Why do we conjugate? The verb would be out of place. It wouldn’t make much sense. 1. Take off the AR ending. 2. Identify the ending you need to put on. (Ex. Yo=o) 3. Put the ending on. You have a conjugated verb.

Remove the AR ending, take it off, or cancel it out.
Questions Activity -as When conjugating “Tu” what ending do you use? Which verb is only used in Spain? Ustedes is plural. True or False? Which verb when conjugated, is ended in –ais. What did the symbol mean in the “How to Conjugate slide? The first thing you do while conjugating is… Vosotros True Vosotros Remove the AR ending, take it off, or cancel it out. Take off the AR ending.

Make sure you copied down your notes. If you haven’t take this moment to do so. You can use them on your homework if you need to. Keep these notes so you can refer to them later. The homework is a short, one page assignment. It shouldn’t take more than 5-10 minutes. You will get your homework on the way out, and it is due Tuesday.
