3 Ход Урока 1) Вступительное слово учителя: Today our Lesson is devoted to Walt Disney – a famous American producer, film maker and animator.

Walt Disney was born on Sunday, December 5, He remembered nothing of his early years in Chicago. As Walt grew older he wandered far away from the family farm and learned to watch animals that lived in the woods: rabbits, foxes, etc. He was almost seven when he was enrolled at the Park School. He read the standard texts, studied arithmetic, writing, geography and spelling. One of his discoveries was the movie house that had just opened in Marceline. He loved to draw very much. In 1911, when Walt was ten years old, the family moved to Kansas City. After school Walt and his brother Roy delivered newspapers. . On Saturday mornings he took classes in painting and drawing at the Kansas City Art Institute. Then one day Walt saw a silent film version of "Snow White and Seven Dwarfs". The film and the way it was projected onto a screen fascinated Walt. So, In 1917 he moved to Chicago and took a job at the post office. He worked long hours delivering mail, going to school and taking classes at Chicago's Academy of Fine Arts. Some of his teachers were cartoonists. .

His father didn’t understand his fascination. The summer of 1918 was the best that Walt had known. He thought of buying a movie camera. The war began and interrupted his plans He worked as an ambulance driver. He was full of hope and optimism, he went back to Kansas City. He got a job with an advertising company. His next job was drawing cartoons for screen advertisement in movie theatres, just like TV commercials today. By 1923 Hollywood had become a company town. W. Disney asked for work as a director and was turned away. He sought work at the studios. He hired some art students to work for him. They made seven animated cartoons. He loved cartoons and he was full of ideas. In Hollywood Walt rented an old camera and a garage which he turned into a small studio. He made a cartoon “Alice in Cartoon Land”. In it Alice was played by a real person. He had a good friend those times. Her name was Lilian. She was fond of cartooning.

In 1924, when Walt was 23, he and Lilian were married. They worked hard together. But in 1927 the first movie with sound was shown. It was called a talkie. He decided to create a new character Mickey Mouse into a talkie. When people saw Mickey Mouse, they loved them. By January 1930 W. Disney had created 12 Mickey Mouse cartoons. He created new cartoon characters. There were "Minnie Mouse", "Pluto", "Cow", "Donald Duck", "Horace Horsecollar" and "the Three Little Pigs". They all were very popular with children and adults all over the world. Then Walt made true first colour cartoon. He filmed "Flowers and Trees" in colour. It won an Academy Award as the best cartoon in He also won an Academy award for creating Mickey Mouse. Walt's fame and business were steadily growing. By 1936 he was the father of two daughters, Diane and Sharon. Then he made full-length cartoon movie, "Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs". After "Snow White" Walt made many long animated films. These included "Pinocchio", "Bambi", and the musical "Fantasia" and, later, "Cinderella", "Alice in Wonderland", and many others.

7 In 1941 he made films for the government
In 1941 he made films for the government. After was he made films with real actors in real situations. Among these were films "The Shaggy Dog", "The Parent Trap", "The Absent-minded Professor", and "Swiss Family Robinson". For years Walt had thought about creating a perfect amusement park. He decided to call it Disneyland. It was a great success. It is a place for parents and children to share pleasant times in one another's company, a place for teachers and pupils to discover better ways of understanding and education. In 1964 he produced the greatest of his successes "Mary Poppins". 1964, the President presented him with the Medal of Freedom at the White House. Walt died on December 14, 1966 at the age of 65. He was a legend in his own lifetime, people still remember him and hike his unforgettable cartoons.
