7. Now that you understand Maslow’s hierarchy: Why does it pertain to Hitler and WWII? Short answer is… At the end of 1929, Germany was in an economic depression. Many basic needs (Level One on Maslow’s) were not even being met. Hitler capitalized on this, promising prosperity and a Germany unlike anything the people had ever seen.
