9 Determine your preferred Leadership style. Telling – this provides specific instruction and supervises performance. Synonyms are guiding, directing, and establishing. This style tends to be authoritarian. Selling – This explains decisions and provides opportunities for clarification. Synonyms are explaining, clarifying and persuading. This style tends to be democratic.

10 Determine your preferred Leadership style. Participating – This shares ideas and facilitates the making of decisions. Other descriptor are encouraging, collaborating, and committing. Delegating – This turns over responsibilities for decision and implementation. Other descriptors are observing, monitoring and fulfilling. This style tends to be laissez-faire.
