P.A.T.T. members ideas for using word clouds to teach vocabulary As a pre-assessment, students create a word cloud of vocabulary words that they are not familiar with. Create a word cloud in a shape that represents the vocabulary list (tagxedo only) Students type the vocabulary word and the key word next to it (use ~ to connect two words) Create many word clouds and then put them side-by-side Students create a word cloud describing a specific vocabulary word.
