12 Online Course: Overview The Official SAT Online Course, available anytime and anywhere, is one of the most effective ways to get ready for the SAT. Students will have access to a wealth of features and benefits, including:  10 official practice tests from the test maker  18 interactive lessons covering the SAT mathematics, reading and writing subjects  Detailed answer explanations that review concepts  Automatic essay scoring with instant scores based on real SAT essays  Immediate and personalized feedback

13 Online Course: Classroom Integration Implementation There are three different ways teachers can integrate the SAT Online Course into their classrooms: homework, quizzes, and classroom activities.  SAT Online Course includes content areas and/ or skills that are taught in school – math, reading, and writing  Deliver lessons, quizzes, and/ or work through questions related to content areas and/ or skills being focused on in the classroom  All tests and quizzes including essays are automatically scored and teachers have access to the right answers and explanations for all questions in the SAT Online Course

14 Suggestions for Implementing Independent Study While the SAT Online Course can be used by students for independent study without any teacher support or structure, we recommend that schools establish some structure for independent study but allow students to opt in voluntarily. Suggested Tips for SAT Online Course Lunch Program  Staff a computer lab during the lunch hour with one ELA and one Math teacher Monday – Friday that are trained on how to use the SAT Online Course  Allow interested students to spend their lunch hour using the SAT Online Course, receiving support and assignments to complete on their own time  Suggested class size is 25 students  It helps if the students are allowed to bring their lunch  Every student that signs-up should be required to complete one full SAT practice test before coming to their first session The Official SAT Question of the Day Contest  Post a link to the Official SAT Question of the Day on the school website daily  Encourage students to go on the site, review and answer the question, write down their answer, and turn it in at a centrally located suggestion box  The criteria for winning is participation. Students can win whether they got the question right or wrong
