MEDICATIONS….. Sedatives – Unnatural sleep Benzodiazepines – Hypnotic drugs inducing sleep. Prescription drugs – Drugs that can cause dependence both physical and psychological. Note… Drugs have been known to be most effective however they do create a dependence on them.

PSYCHOLOGICAL HELP… Relaxation techniques. Changes in diet and exercise. Regular sleep routine. Cognitive behaviour therapy – Being able to counter- act thoughts about sleeping. Relax before sleep (dimmer light) Note. These methods are not always successful for everyone. Some people react better with certain methods.

Herbal Remedies Avoid Caffeine Drinking milk California poppy – Plant. Relieves anxiety. Celery seed – Contains vitamins A, C and B-complex, relieves nervousness and anxiety over insomnia. Hops – Sedative for sleep.
