Content Knowledge A strength and conditioning coach must have content knowledge of: - Anatomy, bioenergetics, exercise physiology, biomechanics - Nutrition - Flexibility, conditioning and correct exercise techniques - Policies, procedures, layout design and guidelines (National Strength and Conditioning Association)

Training Planning Periodization is an organized approach to training that involves progressive cycling of various aspects of a training program during a specific period of time to bring about optimal gains in physical performance.

Prevention of Athletic Injuries
Design regiments to strengthen body parts that are prone to injury As strength coaches, we must be able to teach correct exercise and lifting techniques to our athletes. If we cannot keep athletes injury free, then all other training improvements are for nothing.

Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist (CSCS)
In order to qualify to take the CSCS certification test, a candidate must: - have a bachelors degree from an approved and accredited college/university. - be a current senior in college pursuing an undergraduate degree from an approved and accredited college/university. - have earned a chiropractic medicine degree. -have a current CPR and AED Certification
