Species: Crataegus viridis Location: BCC Campus. Habitat: Prefer moist soils of valleys or low upland slopes. Facts: Member of the Rose family, used in culinary and the medical field.

Species: Cornus florida Facts: Some species produce poisonous fruit. Location: BCC Campus. Habitat: Generally found in hardwood forests, often used in landscaping.

Species: Picea glauca Facts: Can reach 215 feet tall. Location: BCC Campus. Habitat: Coniferous Forest.

Species: Acer patanoides Location: BCC Campus Habitat: Anywhere, originally native to Europe.

Species: Platanus occidentalis Location: BCC Campus.. Habitat: Hyrdrosere preferably, mixed throughout parks. Facts: Red flowers when in bloom.
