Title Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Credits Introduction We are going to travel back in time to ancient Egypt to learn about the life of King Tutankhamun. But wait, there’s a problem! He needs to be buried but hasn’t been mummified-the people have forgotten how to do so. You have the opportunity to properly learn how mummification works and use your knowledge to help with King Tut’s mummification!

Introduction Task Process Evaluation Conclusion Credits Your task is to learn about the life of King Tut and learn about the process of mummification by mummifying a carrot. In groups of two you will research about King Tut, create a sarcophagus, and then mummify a carrot. Lastly you will write a paragraph about what you have learned. Title Learning about Mummies

Go to http://www.historyembalmed.org/life-of-king-tut/facts-about-king-tut.htmhttp://www.historyembalmed.org/life-of-king-tut/facts-about-king-tut.htm (2) Now that you have learned all about King Tutankhamen, it’s time to explore the idea of mummification. - Go to http://www.ancientegypt.co.uk/mummies/story/main.html to learn about the two stages of the mummification process. Be sure to take notes, especially on the words that are underlined.http://www.ancientegypt.co.uk/mummies/story/main.html -When you are done researching the mummification process,we will have a class discussion about what you found. Anything you may not have understood will be cleared up during our discussion on the topic. The underlined terms will be talked about and listed on the chalkboard for later use. (3) Now you will do the mummification process. (1) The first paragraph should include a summary of King Tutankhamen’s life. Be sure to include the following: -How long ago he lived -How old he was when he died -Any information that makes him stand out (2) The second paragraph should include information that you learned about the mummification process. This paragraph must include at least five terms that were put on the chalkboard during our class discussion. Describe the process you used to “mummify King Tut” with the carrot activity. Be sure to have proper capitalization and punctuation throughout your paragraphs to receive a good grade! The Process
