+ How were mummies made? A mummy is a person (or animal) that has been preserved after death. First the brain was taken out. There were three ways to extract the brain used in different time periods : In the early times the brain was taken out by sticking a hook up the nose until it grabbed the brain so that they could pull it out through the nostrils. Later they would take one of the eyes out and pull the brain out by sticking the hook into the hole were the optic nerve connected the brain. The last mummies made in Egypt had their brains extracted by poking a small hole in the back of the head.This is how mummies were made

+ Facts about King Tut King Tut’s mother was Nerftiti. He became pharaoh between 1334 B.C. and 1324 B.C. He was born in 1343 B.C. in Amarna. He married his half-sister. He was 9 years old when he became pharaoh. He died in the age of 18/19.

+ Facts on Queen Nefertiti Queen Nefertiti was born around 1390 B.C.E. Some people belived that she was of Egyptian blood while others belived that she was a foreign princess. Her name means “the beautiful one is come” is the Egyptian origin and evidence that indicates that she had an Egyptian wet- nurse or governess of noble rank which has led to the belief that she was born within the circle of the Egyptian royal court. She may have been a niece or daughter of Ay who was a keeper of records under king Amenhotep III She had gotten married at the age of 15.
