Components

Component - Controls Conductivity Meters 2000µS & 50µS VK121 Sea Water / Tank Cleaning Tank level VK120 Operating / Cleaning Mode 1.Pressure Permeate Line 0-10bar 2.Feed Water into DT Modules0-10bar 3.Feed Water pressure into HP Pp0-100bar 4.Feed Water to Cartridge Filter0-10bar 5.Feed Water to Pump0-10bar 1.Start 2.Stop 3.Cleaning 4.Service 5.Fault 6.RO2 Flow Indicators (Small) Clean (Large) Made

Component - Controls PLC Control program is stored on a microchip called EEPROM. The program is loaded in to the memory RAM. The plant then receives I/O signals which change the throttle Vv and relays.

Component – LP Feed 1 Filter Pump Centrifugal Pump supplying 2.5 to 4.5bar 2 Bag Filter – 50µ Sediment Particles RN Mod Filter Chamber - 10µ Sediment Particles 3 Cartridge Filter - 5µ Sediment Particles (Maximum of 2.5bar)

Component – LP Feed

Component – HP Feed

Component – Motor Valve

Component – Modules FM161 SEAWATER DRINKING WATER (MADE) PERMEATE OVERBOARD

Component – Modules FM161FM162 SEAWATER DRINKING WATER (MADE) PERMEATE OVERBOARD  Sea Temp 15°C (-10°C)  30% Production Lose

Component – Modules FM161FM162FM163 SEAWATER DRINKING WATER (MADE) PERMEATE OVERBOARD  Sea Temp 8°C

Component – Modules FM161FM162FM163 FM 260 SEAWATER DRINKING WATER (MADE) PERMEATE OVERBOARD DEMIN (CLEAN)

Component – Modules

Component – Dosing

Operating

Starting Checks 1 Check the system is correctly opened up from the Sea tube to the Aft BKD. 2 Shut 3x Module Vv’s. 3 Place VK120 in the operating position. Place VK121 is in the Sea Water position.

Starting Checks 4 Ensure the plant dosing pump is switched on. Drain the cleaning tank VK111. 5 Check that the LP Feed Vv (behind the cartridge filters) is open. 6 Open the Discharge to Bilge until Conductivity is below 2000µS.

Starting 123 456 STARTSTOPCLEANINGSERVICEFAULT LAMP TEST RO2

Stop With Rinse 123 456 STARTSTOPCLEANINGSERVICEFAULT LAMP TEST RO2

Rinse Routine 1 Press Stop. Stop light will flash and cleaning tank level will rise. 2 Stop light will stop flashing. Place VK121 to Cleaning Tank. Place VK120 to Operating Mode. 3 Press Start. When cleaning tank reaches zero plant will shut down.

RO2 123 456 STARTSTOPCLEANINGSERVICEFAULT LAMP TEST RO2

Lamp Test 123 456 STARTSTOPCLEANINGSERVICEFAULT LAMP TEST RO2

Fault 123 456 STARTSTOPCLEANINGSERVICEFAULT LAMP TEST RO2

Types of Cleaner & Inhibitor D Cleaner A – Organic Sediment and Fouling - 4 Weekly 5L Cleaner C – Iron Fouling - 4 Monthly 2.5L

Summary  Difference between Osmosis and Reverse Osmosis theory.  Plant components including controls, LP feed, HP pump, throttle Vv, module configuration, dosing.  Operations such as starting, stopping, faults and lamp tests.  Cleaners and inhibitors.
