Do you remember the three things we learned about a sentence?
A sentence is a group of words that tell a whole idea. A sentence starts with a capital letter. A sentence ends with punctuation (like a period or question mark).

Now we are going to learn about the naming parts of sentences.
The naming part of a sentence tells us… Who? What? Let’s look at some sentences and find the naming parts.

Sam is in the sack. Who is in the sack? Sam is the naming part.

Pig takes a sip. Who takes a sip? Pig is the naming part.
