indulgence – (noun) something granted as a favor or privilege I would beg your indulgence while I review the testimony. elicit – (verb) to draw out or bring forth; to bring to light The State did elicit from Steve that he spoke to Mr. King about basketball. implicated – (verb) to show to be also involved, usually in an incriminating manner They both understand that the deal they get depends on their convincing you that other people are implicated. brutally – (adv.) cruel; vicious; savage A robbery was committed; a man was brutally killed. gullible – (adj.) easily deceived or cheated. He is as guilty as everybody else, no matter how many moral hairs he can split.
