Most of these locations have been approved by the Government. Hurricane Shelters usually have generators and two stories incase water leaks into the building. White = Medical Help First Aid Centers Hurricanes can hurt or kill many people. First Aid Centers are buildings where the injured can get medical help.

How to Prepare your Home For The Hurricane Board up all the windows and doors Secure or remove all outdoor furniture Turn off gas Make sure all of your cars have plenty of gas Clean all the clothes in the house Pick a room closest to the middle of your ground floor, this is where you should spend out the storm (avoid windows). Have sleeping material in your storm room before the storm. Store all of your supplies in or close to your storm room. Have a supply of books and other toys to keep everybody occupied Fill all the bath tubs with clean water Make sure everyone sticks together If water begins to leak into your house immediately move everything to your second floor. Have at least 2,000 dollars stashed incase of total power failure. Cut down any trees that could potentially fall over on your house.
