The controllers are connected via RS485.  The System Reader is a critical component of an RS485 bus based system: it allows simple card enrollment and acts as the interface between multiple controllers and the PC. 12 Confidential Document 12 Controller Operations 1. System Setting: In the System Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions:  System date and date Format  Auto Daylight savings time  Time  System Pin  System Arm Pin  Erase all events  Reset all data and setting  Passwords

Card Setting: In the Card Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions:  Add cards  Delete Card or delete all cards  Set cards priorities, including:  Card status setting (enable/disable card)  Access right setting  Group setting  Set card pin setting  Anti Passback (APB) setting  Card Arm Setting (enable/disable arm/disarm function)  Show card number

15 Confidential Document 15 Controller Operations 4. Door Setting:  In the Door Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions, such as:  Door setting  Open time setting  Set door hold open time  Set door behavior at fire time

Alarm Setting: In the Alarm Setting Menu, there are three main sub-menus: - Alarm Action Setting Menu: Configures alarm outputs of all events on the main module and the door module. - Extended Alarm Setting Menu: Configures alarm outputs of all events on alarm module. - Alarm Time Setting Menu: Configures the time period of alarm outputs.

Alarm Action Setting: - In the Alarm Setting Sub-Menu, alarm output configuration for all events is basically the same, for example: - The upper line indicates the card to be configured is an invalid card. - The first 8 characters of the lower line are alarm output status of this event on the door module. - The 2 characters following the minus sign are alarm output status on the Main alarm output and Auxiliary alarm output on the main module. - Y indicates there is alarm output (relay energized). - N indicates there is no alarm output (relay not energized). - R refers specifically to alarm output relay on the corresponding door module.

Extended Alarm Setting: - In the Extended Alarm Setting Sub-Menu, the user can set basic functions, such as: - Fire Alarm - Zone Alarm 1~8 - System, ARM and card PIN failure - ARM IN 0 - Remote Alarm - Unknown, expired and invalid card - Invalid door and time - Card anti-passback failure - Door forced or held open - Reader lost

Alarm Time Setting: - In the Alarm Time Setting Sub-Menu, the user can reset the alarm or set a certain period of time an alarm output remains active. - Use numeric keys to enter the desired alarm time. - Enter minutes as a 3-digit number 0~999 and seconds as a 2-digit number 0~59. - The default value of alarm time is 1 minute.

Armzone Setting: - In the Armzone Setting Menu, the user can set basic functions, such as: - Set active Armzone - Set Arm delay time - ARM delay time: When an arm operation is executed, all active arm zones will enter ARM enabled status only after a certain time delay. - Use numeric keys to enter the desired ARM delay time. - Enter minutes as a 3-digit number 0~999 and seconds as a 2-digit number 0~59.

21 Confidential Document 21 Controller Operations 10. Address Setting: - Each device connected to the same RS485 bus must have a unique address for the purpose of communications and control. When multiple controllers connect to PC via an RS485 bus, each controller must be assigned a distinct address. - In the Address Setting Menu, the user can set this address setting - Use numeric keys to enter desired address in the range 0000~9999.
